Proffesional Photographers of California Print Competition

As some of you may know we were recently invited to participate in the Professional Photographers of California Print Competition. We were honored by receiving some of the highest scores for wedding photography in the State of California.

The Professional Photographers of California have also selected multiple images of ours to be featured in an incredible, limited edition, hardcover book entitled "Inspirations", an elite image collection. We are thrilled to be apart of something so amazing. It is a complete honor & privilege for us to be apart of this elite group of professional photographers.

We need to give a special thanks to our incredible photographers for all their amazing talent, time & energy that they put into each and every image we produce. The hours behind the camera as well as the computer to ensure each picture is a success is not overlooked. Justin, Clark & Brett, you guys are the BEST!!!

Jon & Chelsie Drake, a match made in Heaven

Here is an amazing couple Jon & Chelsie. They were so fun that we couldn't miss out on blogging about them. We wanted to share their story with you. Jon and Chelsie were set up by Chelsie's Dad. Yes, you heard me right, Chelsie's Dad picked his own son in-law. How lucky is he? Chelsie's Dad was in the Bishopric (leadership in the LDS church) at a singles ward where Jon attended. Chelsie was living in Los Angeles at the time and her Dad really wanted them to meet so he flew Chelsie home to go on a date with Jon. Jon must have been excited to go with Chelsie because he was still recuperating from a sports injury and showed up with a cane and wheelchair to pick her up. Jon insisted they still go to dinner in spite of his injuries. They obviously hit it off.

Jon proposed to Chelsie on her birthday. They went to dinner with Chelsie's entire family at Teppanyaki. Jon had bought a Nothing Bundt Cake with a huge pink flower in the middle and then he placed the cake in front of Chelsie while everyone was singing happy birthday. There was a a beautiful ring sitting inside the flower on top of the cake and Chelsie turned around to see Jon on his knee. With tears streaming down her face, she said "Yes!".

Jon and Chelsie are such a fun couple they enjoy each others company and love to do everything together. They do have to admit that their favorite past time is golf. They love the peacefulness and beauty of it being just them and the golf course.

Jon & Chelsie's song is "You And Me" by Lifehouse.

They honeymooned in the beautiful Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. They loved every minute of it and look forward to their exciting future together.

My favorite part about Jon & Chelsie is what they said about each other.

Jon said that what he likes the most about Chelsie is "She always knows how to brighten the situation. Apart from the fact that she is the most beautiful girl, she never ceases to surprise me. I love the way she loves me."

Chelsie said that what she likes the most about Jon is "Other than his incredibly handsome dimples is his love for me and his patience. Jon knows me better than I know myself, which makes him such a wonderful husband."

We are so glad they found each other. Congratulations to an incredible couple. We wish you always to have lots of love and happiness in your lives together.
Thanks for letting Swensen Photography share your love story.

Trinh Ong & Kevin Munns Love Story (Engagements at La Caille)

This cute couple Kevin and Trinh are high school sweethearts and have been together for 9 years now. I love how the camera picked up on their chemistry. You can see that they are truly in love.

Trinh shared with us how they got engaged and we wanted to share that with you. "We drove home to California during Thanksgiving break and Kev wanted to stop by The Eiffel Tower Restaurant in Paris Hotel to have lunch. To my surprise he had everything planned out! He reserved the most scenic table in the Eiffel Tower Restaurant. The view was gorgeous and we had such an amazing French food. After lunch, he turned to me and told me how much he loved me and how he wanted to grow old with me. As he got on his knee, I literally was in tears. After he put the ring on me the water show across the street from the Bellagio hotel went on. It was one of the most magical moments I have ever experienced."
Way to go Kevin!! I love romantic engagements.

Kevin & Trinh's song is "With or Without You" by U2. They love to cook together and they go on "date nights" once a week, but they enjoy talking to each other the very most.

They are excited to honeymoon in Vietnam, which is where Trinh was born, and they are excited to have Kevin test out his Vietnamese that he has been learning for over a year now.

We asked Trinh what she liked most about Kevin and she said "I like how he can always cheer me up."

Kevin said "I like her smile."

What an incredible couple they are. We are so excited for Kevin & Trinh and wish them all the happiness in their future together. Thanks for letting us share your Love story and be part of your special day.

I had a really hard time choosing which pictures to post because they all turned out so amazing. The Capitol building is so beautiful and it was fun to know that the State Legislature was in session at the same time as our shoot. We are so excited for Amber and Chad!
